dear xanga.

well well well look how long its been since i've been annoyed enough to make an update!!

SO i had today off cause i'm working this saturday WHICH by the way i'd like to comment that i've worked 4 weekends in a row now without one single damn complaint. well, at least not to management anyways. so i had today off i wake up i'm gettin dressed excited cause me n tonnie are gonna hit up a new fish place thats supposed to be really good and i get a phone call from a coworker. wtf coworker i'm not working today leave me alone.

i answer and he asks me about the PCR runs i did yesterday. gaaaaaahhh rite away i knew EXACTLY what he was gonna say cause for some odd reason as he asked the machine monitor flashed before my eyes and i remember fccckk i didnt finish importing all the data into the macine before i ran the samples fck fck fck. so basically i ran the samples but they werent imported so it just ran but after 6 hours theres no results. nada nothing. this has happened to me before cept last time i had all the wells set up i imported data everything and then forgot to put the actual samples in the well so there were no results. and its a HUUUUUUUUGE waste of time when someone fcks up the PCR runs i'm not gonna lie results get held back an entire day its a pain in the ass and we have to call the clients and basically say hey man we fcked up your results wont be ready until tomm. ya people like to hear that.

sooooooo i was like fck fck sh*t omg is Lourdes (my superviser) there? and he's like uhhh ya she's the one who said wtf is goin on who ran pcr yest. ya she was the one who discovered my mistake last time too. fck shoot me now. so i tell him omg tell her i quit i'm not comin in tomm and just rerun the damn thing cause it was a mistake theres nothin that can be done about it just rerun it. fck.

hours later he calls me back and said they reran it so just chill oh and Lourdes is PISSED and says i'm banned from running anymore pcrs cause iv'e messed up too many times and she's annoyed. FCK THAT SHIT! so i said i was quitting let her know for me. but he wouldnt. so i told him fine. i'm not comin in tomm and if they ask why at least you'll know why and i hang up.

MAN FCK FCK FCK. actually i dont even like doing PCR but its PCR or reading results and that sh*t gets tedious as hell fck everything is tedious as hell. is that what work is supposed to be like???????? OMG.

anyways fck work. who needs work i can just stay at home and watch dramas. i'm watchin the japanese version of meteor garden. i'm on the second season already for Hana Yori Dango and its sooooo good! be cryin in every episode! who needs work. bahhh.

so its past 3am. still sittin here. had to eat my dark chocolate covered marshmallow with sprinkles from downtown disney. ohhhhhhh yummmm.

i feel really tired work has been crazy. its been crazy cause i've just finished working 10 days straight. including xmas. ya i worked on xmas saddest story i've ever heard. i cant believe i've been at this job for almost a year. i've learned SO much and i know how to practically do everything now sometimes i cant even believe it. honestly didnt think i'd last this long and have so many responsibilities. yikes.

anyways i got into work late today but my partner was mike. not to be biasedor anything but we're a good team. most of the time when i'm paired with someone else i'll just do my thing theyll do their thing we rush and try to finish but me and mike split the work and help each other out. we transferred samples for pcr together he ran one machine i shoulda ran the other i set it up and everything but got really lazy so he did it for me and in return i read all the spore plates cause he hates reading those. ya i know this doesnt make any sense but its nice to have a coworker who isnt an idiot.

after work i raced over to little sister's house. we go there every year for xmas ditch the parents and me her and kevin will hit up downtown disney to look at the pretty xmas decorations the festive music from the live bands and buy each other presents. its fun.

we saw Valkryie too. i didnt think itd be that great cause the critics kept slammin Tom Cruise's performance but DAAAAAMN he fcking KILLED it. i thought he was totally believable! his portrayal of his character was great. just great. sometimes i forget what a decent actor he is. good movie. i like movies about WWII.

hello!

richard guess what i TOTALLY watch dexter!! thats shows great! creepy but great! i finished season 1 and 2 forever ago but i'm still waiting on 3. i actually liked season 1 better! it had a better crazy twist at the end, season 2 was too much sex related kinda killed it for me even though that english girl is friggin hott as hell. anyways i started 3 but got stalled.

so whats new whats new. work has been crazy. they started my training on running the pcr machines. hello polymerase chain reaction? i think thats what it stands for i cant remember. anyways it involves hundreds of little test tubes hundreds of pippette tips lots of timers goin off at diff times lots of runnin around and big machines that run in 3 hour invervals. its CONFUSING. especially since im so scatterbrained i cant keep anything straight i get all mixed up a lot.

my boss asked if i would be willing to work on christmas. OMG i just worked on thanksgiving! she said i could say no if i wanted to but i wanted to ask for days off usin my pto and it was honestly really late notice so i said i'd work xmas if she could give me my pto days. i requested dec.27 to jan.7 off and she said ok. mwahhaha. so on xmas i get paid 8 hours holiday pay AND i get paid double for every hour that i work as well. not like we do much on the holidays anyway just sit around at home so might as well make some money!

i was tellin my dad my upcoming schedule and he pointed out that i'm working 10 days STRAIGHT. i have monday off but then i'm working tuesday all the way through the weekend up to and on xmas! gaahhhh so tired just thinkin about it. i was supposed to have a 3 day weekend comin up but then we're getting an overload of samples on saturday that require special testing and only a small percentage of the lab knows how to do it me included! they were takin volunteers but none of us volunteered then my boss nominated me. i'm scared of my boss so i just said yes.

one of my cowrks introduced us to this bar actually its a pub near work thats pretty cool cause its laid back and comin out of work we look tired and beat down but the pub is so chill we fit right in! so we've hit it up twice this week and last night i was soooooo tired i didnt feel like goin to work today but my parents MADE me go to work! they said its irresponsible to call in sick. bahhh responsibilities! but i was scared to disobey so i went in. 3 hours later i was sooo tired AND my boss said i had to work saturday so i took advantage of the situation and asked if i could go home cause i wasnt feelin well. she looked all concerned asked me if i was ok did i need to talk about anything and i felt SO guilty i made up some lame excuse couldnt even look her in the eye and she said i could go home. i couldnt go home though cause my parents would be mad! so i just hung out with tonnie all day instead. playin hookie! hahah felt like highschool.

anyways thats all. overload of work maaakin that paper! ok thats all.

hello! time for an update! just noticed its been almost a month since i last updated. tsk tsk.

anyways.

i didnt have work today so i decided to go to the dmv to renew my license. last time i got to renew by mail but this time i couldnt cause i had one speeding ticket and an accident on my record. apparently the dmv frowns upon people hitting fire hydrants. geez not like that one was my fault. anyways. i got horrible directions online on how to get to the torrance dmv and drove around for almost an hour looking for the damn place. luckily i ran into some random delivery guy who knew EXACTLY where it was and gave GREAT directions even drew me a little map! omg he was so nice. thank goodness for his random act of kindness.

so i got to the dmv and find out i have to take my written test over again!! OMG. it took me 3 tries to pass that thing to get my permit and that was almost 10 YEARS AGO! i was trippin out. i called my dad and he was just like get a booklet to study and come home just come home theres no way you'll pass. geez no faith! i figured since i was already there i might as well give it a try they said i could take it 3 times. so i was sittin there waiting for my number and i notice this ripped guy with a tatt on the back of his arm. i'm thinkin it was a poorly done tatt. lines are pretty thin and shaky and its faded kinda weird. 5 mins later i realize the tatt says vasquez and THEN i realize i went to highschool with that guy and he had got that tatt our senior year! i was gonna say hi but then he walked the other way. so random. he really should get that thing touched up.

soooo then my number was called. i had to pay 30 bucks to renew. felt like a waste of money but ok. then i FINALLY got to retake my picture! the picture on my id now is from when i was like 15 its weird how no one ever looks at me twice when they check my id good grief i do NOT look like that still. i hope my new picture turns out better! so vain haha.

then i had to go take the written test. i only had to answer 17 questions and was only allowed to miss 3. A MERE 3!!!!!! on top of that i got MAJOR add when taking it i was standin there for like 40 mins everytime i came to a question i was unsure of i just started to major zone out. had to keep tellin myself to focus. so then i'm done and go to turn it in the lady's all damn youre still here didnt i give this to you like an hour ago. uhhh hello only like 40 mins ago. SOOOOOOOOOO i missed EXACTLY 3!!!!!! i was crying tears of joy! hahah i passssssssed! so like 10 years ago the first time i failed. the second time i failed. then the 3rd time i took it i got the exact number wrong that youre allowed to miss in order to pass. exact number to not fail FTW!! woot!

i'll enlighten you guys on the ones i missed:

1. the legal blood alcohol concentration is .08% NOT .05% thats what i guessed. i dont know why i didnt know that, its on tv only all the time.

2. smoking inside a vehicle when a person younger than 18 years of age is present is illegal at all times NOT not restricted by law. hahahah wtf we cant smoke in the car with a kid?? i mean not that you would want to second hand smoke and all but its a LAW??????? wow.

3. when sharing the road with a light rail vhicle you should never turn in front of an approaching one. i put always pass slowly on the right. i didnt know what the hell a light rail vehicle was. a BUS?? a TRAIN?? wtf? then i started thinkin about that simpsons episode where that strange guy comes to town to build a monorail then there was that whole monorail song. then i had to be like focus kathy focus.

anyways short story long i passed so i had to go reward myself by shopping. then i came home to clean my room cause this morning my mom was complaining that my room was friggin ridiculous and she was gonna clean it up for me while i was gone today and i told her hell no dont go into my room i'll clean it when i get back. grown ass woman dont need no one cleanin her room!

ummm ya so thats all. i have work tomm. so lazy wish i could just call in sick. dumb work.

OH YA! so the other day i bought the new BIG BAAAANG cd!!! yaaayuhhh! hhahha it was 25 dollars. well worth it! i listened to it at work 2 days in a row. my coworker got all annoyed the second day when he found himself humming along to one of the songs and was like WTF KATHY quit playin that sh*t. he's white. so not understanding.

awww theyre so stylish. i heart them.

hello hello!

dang its been a week over a week since i've updated! only reason i'm updating is cause the drama page is down so i cant watch my dramas.

lets see whats new.

at work for some reason i was selected to be in charge of a time trial study that each lab is participating in to help induct a new system globally for the company. wtf. first of all i had to come in at 11am. my boss's boss asked ME to be the lab representative for the meeting. after the shock of wtf i have to come in at 11am for the meeting i asked who's gonna be there? and it turns out my boss. my boss's boss. and my boss's boss's bosses. ya basically 4 of my biggie bosses and me. i was scared sh*tless during the meeting and my stomache kept growling. really professional like.

anyways i've decided my bosses are pretty damn smart people. we were shown this graph of how the time trials worked at other labs i glanced at it then thought ok got it. but the lab supervisor kept askin questions like she didnt get it and i'm thinkin damn come on man even i get it! so they start talkin it out and i'm like oh wait ohhhhhh THATS what the graph is about?! hahahha i was totally thinking the wrong thing. good thing i only thinked it in my head!

anyways i have to work this entire weekend friday sat AND sunday! but then next weekend i get sat sunday and monday off. i'll take it!

yesterday i went to visit my little cousins. they wanted to play school and made ME be teacher so all i had to do was write like math problems on their little whiteboard and choose who would get to come up and answer. i had to keep it real simple cause my math skills are real simple. they friggin add numbers faster then i do! i kept getting confused had to talk really slow when doin the problems and they got bored so they wanted to go outside to play tag in 90 degree weather and guess who was it. the fire hydrant was the safe. so instead of running around chasing them i just guarded the fire hydrant! dang so smart! cept then i wasnt payin attention and rammed my back into it. and it hurt. so i was all rubbin my back screamin no more no more and went inside. today i woke up with a huge ass bruise with weird marks all over it cause of the knobs on the hydrant. damn those fire hydrants!

today i came home and my moms all buggin me to help her figure out how to renew her library books online. i'm so tired i just tell her to try figurin it out herself first. few mins later she's like kathy kathy it doesnt work! i look over to see what she's doing. she had typed in www.library.com siiiiiiiiiigh. needless to say that is NOT the webpage for the our library.
